• Stricter regulations means older and smaller homes are closing.

• Many local authorities are closing homes.

• More people are being cared for in their own home.

Cost of long term care

• Weekly cost of private nursing home : £455

• Weekly cost of private residential home : £329

• Costs rise every year above inflation.
